Gala

On November 18, we will put on our third annual fundraising gala, a year after opening our storefront at 2440 Bancroft. The gala is extremely important to our organization as it helps support our educational programs throughout the year, such as cooking workshops, guest lectures, film screenings, and fieldtrips for our members and the larger Berkeley community. Funds from the gala also contribute to the operational costs in our storefront.

Each year, volunteers and coordinators come together to organize the gala, which includes a silent auction and a four course, ecologically-sound, local, fair, and humane meal. Guests will also enjoy student musical performances and speeches from student and community activists. The gala is a great opportunity to learn about our organization’s future goals and past achievements.

The Food Collective would be grateful for your support in this project, either through monetary or in kind donations. Tickets to the event are available for purchase online. Tickets cost $50 for the full night and $25 for a half night. There is also a special $20 price for students. If you are unable to attend, we are also accepting online donations to support the event.
